'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the maiden important achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would seriously think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
